For more than 300 years, Mexico has preserved the ancient tradition towards the production of
mezcal, not only in Oaxaca but in many other regions of the country.
Specially in the valleys of Oaxaca, this rich tradition has been passed along through generations of
families in charge of the palenque, the place where the agave is baked and distilled after a careful
selection of the best batches grown in these vast valleys.
9Reinos is made out of 100% agave espadín, a young plant that has matured during four years and
is produced throughout several steps that provide a smoked, yet complex flavor, reflecting earthy
tones and the smell of plants and flowers of the region.
